EVALUATION SYSTEM
GRADING SYSTEM
At the end of each course, participants are awarded letter grades, which represent the weighted average of grades/marks
obtained in various segments of evaluation. The letters denote the following levels of performance:
A+ Excellent A Vegy Good B+ Good B Above Average C Satisfactory
D Low Pass Fail
Satisfactory
In addition, plus (+) or minus (-) signs against any of the above letter grades may be added to indicate performance in various
segments of evaluation. The numerical values of letter-grades are given below:

REQUIREMENTS FOR AWARD OF
DIPLOMA
To qualify for the award of Diploma, the
cumulative grade point average (CGPA)
of a participant in the second year must
be at least 2.0. In addition, a participant
should fulfill the following conditions:
- He / she should not obtain an ‘F in more
than course.
- He / she should not obtain a ‘D’ in more
than three courses.
A participant who fails to complete the
academic requirement of a course will
be deemed to have not qualified for
promotion or for the award of diploma
unless and until he / she is able to
complete the requirements within a
specified period.
Anybody found indulging in unfair
means during the course of an
examination or any other act of misdeed
/ tampering, etc., shall be awarded ‘F
Grade in that particular course in
addition to initiation of disciplinary
action. The final decision taken will
depend on the severity of the act and
may even lead to rustication. The
decision of the Director / Academic
Committee will be final and binding on
the participant.
Participants fail to qualify for award of
degree will be given certain opportunity
for re-tests to the extent absolutely
necessary to be eligible for award of
certificate as per above guidelines.
